Authorities will punish themselves
The State Duma approved the bill on the introduction of administrative liability for violation of the citizens’s rights to access information about the activities of state and municipal bodies.
Fines from 1 to 3 thousand rubles introduced to officials for wrongful failure to provide information, failure to provide it, or providing misleading information. Fines are also entered for violation of the «technological, policy and linguistic tools for use by official sites of government bodies and local self-government, as well as for non-deployment information on the Internet, as well as for violation of the provision of information containing information relating to restricted information and for the unlawful charging for information provision.
