Standards of Digital Radio Broadcasting in Russia

Ministry of Communications of Russia jointly with the Ministry of Industry will develop national standards for digital broadcasting system. The Government has recognized the viability of implementing in Russia the European system of DRM (Digital Radio Mondiale).
Standard DRM allows you to broadcast with quality comparable to FM, the use of long range, medium and short wavelengths (below 30 MHz). Using these ranges can increase the range of signal propagation.
The Government has commissioned to Minnistersty fo Communications and Ministry of Industry to organize developing national standards for digital broadcasting system — DRM — in 2010-2011
