It is now more than six month passed since the launch of Startupafisha. And now I’m pleased to announce you it’s brand-new design and a bunch of new services.

Startupafisha is now more than just an all-Russian calendar of startup-events it has become something more – I call it Russian entrepreneurs hub where entrepreneurs and investors are able to solve existing market problems.

Startupafisha’ new services:

First of all we have updated calendar of events. It is now more social, you can now “Like” the pages of events on Facebook and export any event into your iCal. Moreover we’ve moved all the industry competitions into separate feed. Startupafisha events section implies that very soon Startupafisha is going to hold its own events.

I’ve recently discovered at Mashable a great great article on World Population Day initiative from the World Food Program

I would like to hear your thoughts and comments on that problem. Let’s feed the «hungry billion together»

To celebrate World Population Day, the World Food Program has launched a campaign to pair a billion Internet users with the billion-plus hungry people in the world.

Nikolay Nikiforov – Tatarstan IT-minister announced that it is now possible to donate to victims of #Bulgaria motor ship crash via Tatarstan Government Website with any bankcard with 0 commission fee.

Anyone who is ready to provide assistance to relatives of those victims and missing persons could transfer funds via Government portal or for the bank account specified in the Tatarstan Government Portal

For the first time in history on Moscow government meeting all of the materials will be filed in electronic form on the desktop computers through a specialized information system. Government members’ve already received their passwords. Access to system is possible through any device via Internet. System is still in test mode, but it previously passed inspection work with no problems found.

Such a measure due to the fact that reprinting thousands of paper pages copies is cost and time-consuming procedure. New system will reduce the time for this work and cut-costs for the town hall. However, all materials for the government meeting are loaded into the system with the same mayors’ protocol department responsible for the documents. Previously used programs and the mayor’s office equipment didn’t not allow to make such radical changes, the new generation of software makes it possible.

HelpCamp at BarCamp

09/07/2011

On 6th of July I’ve been speaking at SocialCamp 2011 in Tver with my master-class on government projects SocialCamp

SocialCamp is an annual informal conference on Internet usage in project of civil society. This year our Gov2Project became the official event-partner.

SocialCamp is using the barcamp “informal conferences” format which is popular across the world. The feature of that presentation is in its democracy with maximum of communication and creativity.

The event was attended by people with best practices in Internet usage for social and civil engineering projects as well as those who wanted to adopt these practices and use the in their own activities.

The first SocialCamp has been held in Kirov on 30th of March 2010. It was attended by more than 150 people with over 30 regions across Russia and 10 foreign countries.

For the HelpCamp (electronic money and electronic services to non-profits) program we’ve formed an excelent team for the audience

We want to establish close contact with e-payments systems for our future projects, fundraising and crowdsourcing.

List of best Russian Gov2.0 projects

01/07/2011

There is a persistence prejudice in the world that e-government development here in Russia has stalled. That Russia has no e-Government at all.

Last year I’m actively involved in eGov development in Russia and let me break that constant myth. We have now launched a united platform/incubator for e-government startups in Russia – gov2people.ru Russia has great possibilities – a large number of developers. Our IT could greatly improve situation in the eGov sector. As of today there is no perfect eGov model applied anywhere in the world.

We decided to collect all the social important projects that could be commercially successful and place them at one platform. We collect and add to the list all of the existing projects to date in the history of Russia: at first they need a unite single entry point. Some of them require lobbying at the government level and it is necessary to create the system and strategic communications for such projects. Placing the project on the site includes not only involvement in the All-Russian Gov 2.0 movement, but also lobbying its interests at the state level and the inclusion in the folder the Russian practices, which can be presented at the international level.
